Girls' Generation is one of the most legendary girl groups in K-pop history, releasing dozens of hit songs that are loved to this day. Despite the numerous iconic tracks, there are songs that the group was unsure would succeed.
Recently, a popular online community highlighted a track by Girls' Generation that the group thought would flop when they first heard it, but ultimately defied expectations and achieved great success.
When Girls' Generation released "I Got A Boy" in 2013, they knew they were taking a bold risk. The group anticipated that the public's reaction wasn't going to be favorable. The girls shared in previous interviews, "This was a song that even received divided opinions from us. Some members reacted with 'What is this?' But then later, the members who chose the song to be the title track said, 'This is a song that the more you listen to it, the more you want to keep listening'." Member Seohyun shared, "We somewhat expected that the initial response wouldn't be that great."
