On September 5, cast members Yang Se Chan, Lee Eun Ji, Song Gun Hee, (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, and Jung Dong Won attended the press conference for ENA's new variety program, 'City Z Goes to the Countryside'.
Premiering this weekend on September 8 at 8:30 PM KST, 'City Z Goes to the Countryside' follows the cast members and guests each week as they enjoy a quiet, peaceful 1 night, 2 day trip in the countryside. Along with Lee Yi Kyung, who was not able to attend the press conference on this day, the cast of 'City Z' represents today's Millennials and Gen Z, trapped in the fast-paced rhythms of city life.
In particular, during the press conference, it was revealed that Miyeon had joined the 'City Z' cast as a new cast member after initially being invited as a guest for the first recording. Miyeon commented, "I thought that I would just go, have fun, and eat a lot, but when I got to the recording site, it felt like there was a spot just left over for me there, like I was the last piece of the puzzle." Miyeon had then expressed her strong wishes to join the 'City Z' cast, resulting in her coming on board.
Yang Se Chan added on, "I strangely found myself relying on Miyeon, who was supposed to be a guest. So when we said goodbye, I told her she should come every week, and it actually turned out that way."
