Jay Park has drawn attention by mentioning his “retirement announcement” from four years ago.
On September 11, Jay Park will appear on MBC’s 'Radio Star' for a special episode titled “Divine Management,” alongside guests Chae Jung Ahn, Kim Hae Joon, and Jang Dong Sun.
Jay Park, known as the “top CEO of Korean hip-hop,” will be making his first appearance on 'Radio Star' in four years, where he humorously shared that he wishes he could take back his retirement declaration from his previous visit.
He explained, “I’ve been considering retiring for a long time, but work keeps coming in, so it’s been postponed. I’m also playing a major role in the new company I founded, so it won't be easy (to retire).” He also hinted at his new retirement plans, sparking curiosity.
Recently, Jay Park performed his song "BODY" at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards, which became a hot topic thanks to actress Chun Woo Hee’s enthusiastic reactions during his performance. Reflecting on the moment, he said, “Chun Woo Hee also reacted really well during a brand event in the past. Thanks to her, the performance at the awards ceremony became a hot topic and really came to life, so I’m grateful.”
When a rumor surfaced that "Jay Park's body can be made in just a year," Jay Park responded by saying, "I've been building my abs since I was in 6th grade," highlighting that his physique has been developed over nearly 30 years. He also revealed his secret to maintaining his well-toned body and health, stating, “Now, I can’t maintain it through my own willpower, so I get personal training.”
In addition to his fitness, Jay Park also spoke about how his focus has shifted to managing his company, MORE VISION, which he founded after leaving his previous label. He further excited fans by revealing that he is working on producing an idol group, with plans to debut them next year or the following year.
Interestingly, when Jay Park left his previous label, he also made the bold decision to delete his social media account, which had 5.8 million followers, to make a fresh start. His new social media account has since gained around 3.4 million followers, but he surprised everyone by stating, “I could delete it anytime."
Jay Park’s full story will air on Radio Star on September 11 at 10:30 PM KST.
