A recent incident involving Seventeen’s Mingyu has left fans outraged after a staff member allegedly took a secret photo of him while he was undressed during a photoshoot.

The staff member reportedly captured the image without Mingyu's consent and posted it on social media, sparking criticism from fans and concerns about privacy violations. The luxury brand later apologized for the incident.

The photos, which were posted on social media, showed a compilation of various images of Mingyu half-naked. The photo was later censored by a foreign fan to cover the half-naked photos of Mingyu but the original version was uncensored.

Translation: "Mingyu took up a significant portion of my photo album... I was too anxious to delete them before, but maybe it's time to organize them now."

Fans have voiced their anger over the staff member's inappropriate behavior, urging for stricter measures to protect artists from such invasions of privacy. Some netizens have even pointed out that the staff member had also done this with other idols in the past as well.

Korean netizens commented:

"It’s a hidden camera, but these women’s views are so low..."

"Isn't that employee the same one who secretly filmed Jin? That staff member has been around since BTS's early debut days and had a lot of issues with their attitude."

"I could somewhat understand if it was behind-the-scenes photos taken with a proper camera, but this was just an employee filming the set of a commercial shoot. I don’t understand why they would secretly keep a photo with exposure, and posting it openly on social media makes even less sense."

"Why are they calling it ‘half-naked’ when it's just the upper body exposed? Also, wasn’t this during a commercial shoot, not in a private setting?"

"If a man secretly takes a photo of a woman, the woman gets angry. But when a woman takes a photo of a man, the female fans get angry. What are the men doing? Complaining only when the genders are reversed?"

"This was a big issue among fans, and the brand immediately issued an official apology the day after the photo was uploaded to Instagram. The issue only spread to communities later. Since it’s not something good, the fans are just not talking about it anymore."

"This is disgusting."

"It’s one thing to take photos for monitoring purposes, but the bigger issue is that the person posted behind-the-scenes photos that weren’t even shared by the brand on their own Instagram story. It was a really stupid thing to do. Who do they think they are to post it?"
