ATTRAKT has responded to The Givers CEO An Sung Il's alleged tampering in the case involving FIFTY FIFTY.
This past week, an alleged voice recording of An Sung Il meeting with former FIFTY FIFTY members Sae Na, Aran, and Sio as well as their parents in May of 2023 at The Givers' office surfaced. In the recording, An Sung Il allegedly made disparaging remarks about ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon, discussed financial issues related to settlements and advances, and proposed that the members file an injunction and transfer to Warner Music, which means he would've had a direct influence on the members filing a lawsuit against ATTRAKT.
On September 14, ATTRAKT announced they received legal evidence showing Warner Music Korea, The Givers, and Aran, Sae Na, and Sio "conspired to violate their exclusive contracts and attempted to tamper with the situation." In their statement, the agency claimed to have "secured all voice meeting records and other materials from May 13, May 17, and June 6, 2023," revealing there were multiple meetings.
ATTRAKT further stated, "The claims made by these individuals about health management issues, lack of support, and settlement problems were all proven false through court proceedings. The former members of FIFTY FIFTY committed illegal acts solely to terminate their contracts, distort the truth, and deceive the public," adding, "Warner Music Korea, the primary culprit behind the tampering, tried to unlawfully seize our valuable artists using the logic of money and power. We will not yield to the power of such large capital and will fight back. We will review legal responses against Warner Music Korea from today and hold all involved in the tampering thoroughly accountable."
In related news, Sae Na, Aran, and Sio also recently filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT demanding a $300,000 USD settlement. Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY member Keena, who returned to ATTRAKT, is preparing to make a comeback with ATTRAKT trainees Hana, Athena, Moon Chanelle, and Yewon.
Stay tuned for updates.
