Jang Yi Jeong, Known as Suga’s friend, posts message of support for BTS’s Suga
On August 23 KST, Jang Yi Jeong, who is known for working on music with BTS’s Suga and being a close friend, posted a message of support for Suga on his social media. The post included an emoji of a hug along with the chart performance of a song they worked on together.
The post was captioned with “Everything will be okay,” and an older post featuring a video of a performance with Suga was pinned at the top.
Fans from various countries reacted to the post with mixed opinions. Some criticized the Korean media or downplayed the incident as a minor mistake that could happen to anyone, expressing their hope for Suga’s quick return to music.
However, others criticized the public display of support, arguing that while personal encouragement is a private matter, openly comforting someone who committed the crime of drunk driving and has not yet taken responsibility may not be appropriate. They felt that publicly receiving sympathy and support from fans in this manner was problematic.
Meanwhile, Suga Appeared at Yongsan Police Station for questioning on August 23rd at 7:45 PM KST.
