Stray Kids headline at Lollapalooza Chicago, captivating massive crowds
Stray Kids took the stage as headliners at the massive Lollapalooza Chicago music festival in the United States.
On August 2 (local time), Stray Kids performed at the Bud Light Stage in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois, as part of the world-renowned Lollapalooza Chicago festival, which draws 110,000 attendees each day of the event.
This marks Stray Kids' third major festival headlining performance overseas this year, following their appearances at Italy’s I-Days in Milan and BST Hyde Park in London. It also follows their record-breaking performance at Lollapalooza Paris in July 2023, making them the first K-pop artists to perform at the festival and now marking their second consecutive year headlining a Lollapalooza event.
Stray Kids kicked off the night in Chicago with their hit title track "S-Class" from their 3rd studio album '★★★★★ (5-STAR).' They continued to deliver a setlist that showcased the group’s signature sound, performing songs like "Ddaeng," "Super Bowl," "TOPLINE (Feat. Tiger JK)," "Thunderous," "ITEM," and "DOMINO." They further expanded their musical spectrum with tracks like "Lonely St.," "Social Path (feat. LiSA)," "Charmer," and "My Pace." The performance reached a fever pitch with iconic hits such as "Back Door," "MANIAC," and "God’s Menu," leading the massive crowd in a sing-along and demonstrating their "Michelin star-worthy" stage presence.
The highlight of the performance was the first-ever live showcase of Stray Kids’ 2024 comeback title track "Chk Chk Boom" from their mini-album 'ATE,' which has already topped the Billboard 200 chart for five consecutive albums. The electrifying performance elevated the atmosphere to new heights.
The enthusiastic response from the Chicago audience prompted an encore, where Stray Kids performed songs like "ROCK (樂)," "Victory Song," "MIROH," and "TOPLINE." The crowd's demand for more didn't cease even after the official set ended, leading the group to present a festival version of "Chk Chk Boom" and close with "Haven," completing a 21-song setlist.
Stray Kids will kick off their highly anticipated new world tour 'DOMINATE' with four concerts at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from August 24-25 KST and August 31-September 1 KST.
