Rapper San E's father was reportedly also charged with assault.
San E was booked on August 17 for aggravated assault against a passerby after arguing over the placement of a bicycle, and he later issued an official apology. Though it's reported both parties were guilty of assault, the rapper was the only one who used items, such as his phone and other objects, as weapons during the altercation.
On August 19, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul revealed San E's father, who was also present at the the time of the altercation, was booked on assault charges as well. San E's father is also accused of assaulting the victim and the victim's acquaintances.
A police official further stated the victim in the situation is also being booked on mutual assault charges, and additional investigations will be conducted as needed.
