According to a report by News1 on August 18, Kim Jong Hyeon is set to enlist in the military this September. He will first enter a training camp to complete basic military training before serving as an active-duty soldier in the Army.
Kim Jong Hyeon made his debut in 2012 as a member of the group NU'EST, where he gained popularity with hit songs like "Face," "Hello," "Love Paint," "Love Me," "I'm in Trouble," and "Inside Out." He also promoted as part of the unit NU'EST W.
Following NU'EST's disbandment in 2022, Kim Jong Hyeon launched his solo career in October, showcasing his musical versatility with tracks such as "Lights," "Motto," and "Star."
In addition to his music career, he has also ventured into acting. He began his acting journey in 2021 with the drama 'Let Me Be Your Knight' and has since made notable appearances in 'The First Kiss,' 'Sound Candy,' and 'My Friend's Graduation,' leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
After tirelessly dedicating himself to both music and acting for nearly 12 years, Kim Jong-hyun is expected to take a well-deserved pause as he fulfills his military service.
