Fiestar’s comeback fueled by love and determination, says fans

The girl group Fiestar (members Jei, Linzy, Yezi, Yel (Hyemi), and Cao Lu) has surprised fans by revealing a reunion video titled "Fiestar Reunites After 7 Years?!" on Cao Lu's YouTube channel on August 29, ahead of their new song release on August 31. The video showcases the group’s journey towards their long-awaited comeback, which has garnered immense attention from fans.

In the video, Cao Lu reflects on a promise the members made to each other before disbanding—to shine individually and then reunite to shine even brighter together. She revealed that her dream had always been to bring the group back together and that she worked in China doing live commerce to save up money to achieve this dream. To everyone’s surprise, she even purchased the rights to their hit song 'You’re Pitiful' to remake it for their comeback.

The reactions from netizens have been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising Cao Lu’s dedication and the group’s commitment to their fans:

"Cao Lu is truly amazing. Preparing for a comeback with her own money shows how much she loves the group. It must have been tough going back and forth between China and Korea, but buying the rights to ‘You’re Pitiful’ to remake it is a brilliant idea. This song deserves to be rediscovered. Congratulations on your comeback after 7 years! I’ll keep cheering you on."
"Most Chinese members of K-pop idols gain recognition in Korea and then make money in China, but Cao Lu did the opposite—she earned money in China to bring the group back together in Korea. This is unprecedented in idol history. It’s clear she has immense love for the group. And Jae, who got married, still has the determination to reunite with the group. I love seeing all the members come back together for the fans."
"It’s great to see you back! You came to perform ‘You’re Pitiful’ at our military base! I remember listening to it every day at the base. The chair dance was unforgettable, and I’m thrilled that you’re making a comeback with my favorite song. Thank you so much!"
"This is an incredible gift. Even as someone who wasn’t a fan, I’m moved. ‘You’re Pitiful’ is such a great song."
"It’s truly impressive. Without any support, they carried the memories of those days and spent their own money to create an album. It shows how much love they have for the group. They’re amazing."
"Wow, I didn’t know Cao Lu had a YouTube channel. The first time I got into idol fandom was with Fiestar. They were all so beautiful and talented. I’m so happy to see them back."
"The group’s return is not only a testament to their dedication but also a heartwarming reunion that fans have eagerly awaited. As Fiestar prepares for their comeback, the anticipation continues to grow, making this a significant moment in their career."

Following this, the members discussed various aspects of the remake, including costumes, arrangement, choreography, and the music video, focusing on addressing the shortcomings from their original 'You're Pitiful' promotions. Their active involvement in planning and production has further heightened fans' anticipation for the upcoming release.
