Red Velvet's Seulgi recently opened up about how she became close with BLACKPINK's Jisoo. On the 16th, Seulgi's YouTube channel, Hi Seulgi, released a video titled "Summer vacation with BLACKPINK Jisoo, No Plan Guide."
In the video, Seulgi said, "We're going to explore Yangpyeong on a spontaneous trip," and added, "Before I even showed up, I noticed the directors smiling widely, even before the guest arrived," introducing Jisoo. Seulgi also mentioned, "A lot of people have been excited for our collaboration, including BLINKs and ReVeluvs," as they made their way to a local market.
Seulgi noted, "I've visited Yangpyeong many times, but this is my first time at this market," and asked, "Aren't there many great restaurants around here?" Jisoo responded, "You travel a lot. I always see you going somewhere new," Seulgi replied, "I often visit the countryside. I enjoy peaceful places."
Jisoo shared, "My grandparents' house was in Iksan, and I always went to the market there. I love bean curd stew." She added with a laugh, "Remember, we had a plan? Let's see how much we fail later. It's because you titled it spontaneous that things are going awry."
Later, as they went to eat Korean-style whole chicken soup, Seulgi and Jisoo reminisced about their first meeting. Jisoo explained, "We first met at the salon, and we still go to the same one now." She continued, "Our first encounter was in the restroom. I heard that Red Velvet was coming to our salon and that there was a friend my age. I was very cheerful then but didn't have many friends, so I wanted to become friends quickly. When you came next to me in the restroom, I asked for your number."
Seulgi laughed, saying, "It felt like we became friends in a school restroom." She remembered their first meeting at the restroom in Gocheok Dome, adding, "Lisa was next to us. I was surprised because we were from SM and you from YG, so I thought we might never become close. But you greeted me so warmly, and I was really grateful." Jisoo responded, "After that, we had overlapping schedules. I remember lying on a mat in your waiting room."
