BLACKPINK's Jennie has acquired the trademark for her English name Jennie Ruby Jane.
According to reports on August 2, Jennie registered the trademark for "Jennie Ruby Jane" last month after applying for the trademark with the Korean Intellectual Property Office in January of last year. Jennie's birth name is Jennie Kim, but after studying in New Zealand during her childhood, she adopted the name Jennie Ruby Jane.
During her appearance in the HBO drama 'The Idol' in 2023, Jennie used the name Jennie Ruby Jane instead of her idol stage name, Jennie. Her personal Instagram and YouTube accounts are also under the name Jennie Ruby Jane.
The BLACKPINK member is also said to have applied for the trademark rights for the name in the United States.
