On August 28 KST, it was reported by WWD that luxury brand Prada has appointed Karina from the K-pop group aespa as its newest Global brand ambassador.
This move comes after the Italian luxury brand previously appointed all seven members of the K-pop group ENHYPEN as brand ambassadors last year, signaling Prada’s continued embrace of the global K-pop wave. Karina’s appointment further solidifies this trend.
aespa, the group to which Karina belongs, has seen significant success with their first full-length album ‘Armageddon,’ marking a new era for the group following their hit song ‘Next Level.’ The track ‘Supernova’ from the album particularly stood out, topping domestic music charts like Melon for the longest period in the first half of the year, cementing its status as one of the year’s standout songs.
As a Prada ambassador, Karina joins a roster of prominent Korean artists including actress Kim Tae Ri, singer Jeon So Mi, NCT’s Jaehyun, ENHYPEN, and TWICE’s Sana.
