aespa Winter's bruises are causing concern among fans.
Winter shared photos of herself in a white outfit for aespa's 'Synk: Parallel Line' world tour stop at the Tokyo Dome, and fans noticed worrying bruises on the idol's knees. On August 20, the topic of the bruises became a trending post on online community sites under the title, "Winter could've gotten really hurt. What's wrong with SM Entertainment these days?"
The poster continued to reveal Winter's bruises were caused by an incident on a lift during aespa's Tokyo Dome concerts, writing, "On the first day of aespa's Tokyo Dome concert after the first set was finished, Winter came out with large bands on both knees for the second set, which worried all the fans. The photos that were posted on Instagram show the bruises look very serious. Winter said in a live broadcast that it was just a funny incident that happened now that the Tokyo Dome concerts are over, but apparently, the lift malfunctioned and stopped midway while the lights were out. She needed to change her outfit quickly, so she didn't realize the lift had stopped and ended up falling from the top."
The poster added, "It's fortunate only her knees were injured, but it seems like SM needs to improve stage management and costume handling. Winter's calm attitude in her live broadcast makes it seem less serious, but it sounds like it could've been a much bigger accident."
