TS Entertainment has filed an appeal against rapper Sleepy for an allegedly unfair profit share.
The label lost their legal battle against Sleepy in October of 2021 after they filed a lawsuit claiming the rapper had violated his exclusive contract and allegedly hid some of his broadcast income and advertisement fees. At the time, TS Entertainment requested 280 million won ($202,903.71 USD) in damages.
On July 11, TS Entertainment released a statement announcing they'll be filing to appeal the court's decision. Once again, the label claimed Sleepy had taken unfair profit shares through unauthorized event promotions, social media advertising, and more. TS Entertainment stated, "He fooled the company and took years worth of profit from under-the-table advertisements, social media ads, unauthorized performances, and more, causing the company to experience damages. He's also been spreading lies about the company on social media sites."
