JTBC's new drama "Good Boy" (directed by Shim Na Yeon, written by Lee Dae Il) has announced its confirmed cast including actors Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seok.
"Good Boy" is a comic action investigation drama about medalists who become special recruits as police officers. They fight against a world full of unscrupulousness and cheating, wearing police badges instead of medals. The drama is a collaboration between director Shim Na Yeon, who directed "Monster" and "The Good Mother," which garnered both critical acclaim and popularity, and writer Lee Dae Il, known for "Life on Mars" and the "Chief of Staff" series. The star-studded lineup adds even more excitement to the project.
Park Bo Gum will play the role of Police Officer Yoon Dong Joo, a medalist special recruit in the violent crime special team, who becomes a police officer 11 years after his boxing glory days. Despite initially being frozen in this new world, his innate fighter instincts awaken to combat the unscrupulous and corrupt, throwing himself into danger for justice. The transformation of top star Park Bo Gum into a rough and intense fighter is enough to make hearts race.
Kim So Hyun will portray Ji Han Na, a gold medalist shooter and Police Sergeant in the violent crime special team. Known as the "Shooting Goddess" during her athlete days due to her outstanding beauty, she faced anti-fans and misunderstandings, leading her to suddenly retire and fulfill her dream of becoming a police officer. Now, her gun is aimed at ruthless villains, showcasing a bold and aggressive shooting style. Kim So Hyun is set to captivate viewers with her unprecedented strong and daring charm.
"Good Boy" will premiere on JTBC in the second half of the year.
