On June 11 KST, the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation revealed that singer Jung Dong Won had donated his prize of 700,000 won from the May edition of 'Good Star' to support medical expenses for children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases.

'Good Star' is a donation platform that supports the positive influence of celebrities. It operates by allowing users to watch videos and listen to songs of participating singers in the app's singing contest, while supporting them through missions within the app and donating prize money according to rankings.

Jung Dong Won has achieved a cumulative donation amount of 40.8 million won through 'Good Star.' Last month (May 23), he released JD1's new song "ERROR 405." JD1 is an independent persona created by singer-producer Jung Dong Won to explore various genres.

The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation's surgery and hospital treatment support program provides assistance ranging from 5 million to 30 million won for children under 19 diagnosed with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases under the age of 25. The funds are utilized for surgery expenses, hospital treatment, transplant costs, purchase of rare medications, and provision of hospital assistive devices.

Director Hong Seung Yoon of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation expressed gratitude, stating, "We are thankful for Jung Dong Won's continuous support for children, spreading love to them through his steadfast generosity. We look forward to further contributions from singer Jung Dong Won."

Established in 2001 and registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation is a non-profit foundation. It engages in various activities such as providing support for pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare disease treatments, outpatient treatment expenses, emergency treatment expenses, emotional support, blood donation campaigns, and operating shelters for children with childhood cancer.
