Netizens are responding to SM Entertainment's lawsuit against EXO-CBX.
As previously reported, SM Entertainment confirmed the label filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Eastern District Court on June 12 KST, demanding EXO's Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin fulfill the obligations in their previously settled contract. The conflict began after the 3 EXO members filed to terminate their contracts with SM Entertainment after renewing their contracts in December of 2022. Baekhyun then established his own agency INB100 in January of this year, recruiting Chen and Xiumin as label artists, and they then held a press conference claiming unfairness over the contract terms.
The ongoing conflict and SM Entertainment's confirmed lawsuit are currently trending online. Netizens and fans are expressing their opinions on online community forums like theqoo.
Netizens commented, "Farewell. Stop saying you care so much about EXO," "The fans are going through it the most... SM, fighting," "Please just leave. Every time I hear about this, it makes me so stressed," "I've given you enough slack. The backstabbing is just ridiculous. I support SM," "Doing it by the book is the cleanest way," "They requested to terminate the contract last year, and now they're saying the agreement is invalid. They even signed it with their lawyer, but now they want to pretend it never happened... They need to understand that a contract is not a joke and the law needs to make this clear to them," "Why? The more I look at this, the less I understand," and more.

I'll keep a neutral position until all the facts are out im not picking sides. As for people instantly judging cbx and sidin with sm, don't forget it's past. For context SM entertainment has been known to mistreat it's idols not pay them properly and blacklist them they have had multiple legal cases with former idols most of which ended in them losing those cases, jyj, dbsk jaejoong exo m etc SM was the reason the government overhauled the kpop laws as they had the original slave contracts. SM has still had or been apart of some form of tampering or illegality up onto its changes with the hostile takeover that stole the agency from LSM though he's no saint, he was betrayed.
one of the fathers of kpop and richest men in Korea can be screwed over by the people in the agency, what makes you think some naive idols who barely understand how the real world works hsd a chance?
