NewJeans is known for their unique Y2K concept and sound. As it turns out, this nostalgic musical style is mainly the work of the group’s two main producers, who have created most of NewJeans’ most recognizable hits: 250 and FRNK.
250, otherwise known as Lee Ho-Hyeong, is NewJeans’ main producer and primarily worked on their songs Attention, Hype Boy, Ditto, ETA, Hurt, Get Up, ASAP, How Sweet, Bubble Gum, and their latest hit Supernatural. In the past, he has also worked on songs for artists like NCT 127, BoA, and ITZY.
Meanwhile, FRNK (Park Jinsu) is a newer producer who worked on NewJeans’ songs Cool With You, Cookie, OMG, Right Now, and New Jeans. He has also worked on songs for BTS’s V.
Following the recent release of NewJeans’ song ‘Supernatural,’ netizens have been discussing the group’s iconic sound and the producers who created it.
