ILLIT has set a remarkable record on the Japanese Oricon chart.
According to Oricon, ILLIT has achieved 100 million streams with their song. The title track 'Magnetic' from their first mini album surpassed 100 million cumulative plays on the 10th.
The song broke through 100 million streams just 11 weeks after entering the Oricon chart. 'Magnetic' first appeared at number 5 on the 'Weekly Streaming Ranking' on April 8. Its highest position was number 2.
Among works by foreign artists, it is the third fastest and the first by a girl group to reach 100 million streams in the shortest time. The first and second places are both held by BTS albums (6 weeks and 9 weeks, respectively).
'Magnetic' has been a hit for nearly three months. In the latest Oricon 'Weekly Streaming Ranking' as of the 12th, 'Magnetic' ranked 5th, successfully staying in the top 10 for 11 weeks.
ILLIT shared their thoughts on surpassing 100 million streams with Oricon. Minju said, "We are very happy that so many people have listened to our 'Magnetic.' Thank you very much."
Meanwhile, ILLIT will be performing at the Weverse Con Festival held at Incheon Inspire Entertainment Resort on the 15th.
