The fictional band Eclipse from the tvN drama 'Lovely Runner' has made it onto the Billboard charts.
On June 4, Billboard announced that "Shower" by Eclipse entered the Billboard Global 200 chart at 199th place. This chart ranks songs based on streaming and digital sales without including radio airplay scores.
Other notable entries on the Billboard Global 200 chart include NewJeans' "How Sweet" and "Bubble Gum," which ranked 15th and 30th, respectively; aespa's "Supernova" and "Armageddon," which ranked 17th and 55th, respectively; ILLIT's "Magnetic" at 21st; and BTS RM's "Lost!" at 68th. Eclipse’s entry, despite being a fictional band from a drama, highlights the immense popularity of "Lovely Runner."
Notably, aside from their appearance in the drama, Eclipse has never performed on music shows. Even though the drama ended a week ago, many fans still hope to see them perform live at least once.
Due to their popularity, there were rumors that Eclipse, composed of Byun Woo Seok, Lee Seung Hyub, Moon Si On, and Yang Hyuk, would appear at KCON, a K-culture festival hosted by CJ ENM. However, CJ ENM stated, "The report is not true," disappointing fans.
Nevertheless, the drama continues to be popular, and with the OST for "Lovely Runner" set to be released on June 5, interest in Eclipse's potential music show appearances is expected to grow.
