Back in 2020, netizens were horrified and shocked by reports of a thief who broke into Hara's house and stole her personal safe after her passing.
Reports suggest that the thief may have been familiar with the late Goo Hara, as evidenced by his knowledge of her home's layout and the precise location of her safe. Additionally, he initially tried to gain entry through the main entrance and utilized a previously known password.
Despite an ongoing internal investigation, the perpetrator remains unidentified and at large.
With the recent 'Burning Sun' BBC Documentary, Korean netizens recently brought up the topic and commented:
"I feel bad for Hara..."
"It makes no sense that he wasn't caught yet. Does that place not have surveillance?"
"I don't think they couldn't catch him. They didn't catch him."
"A cell phone was in the safe. I am really curious what was in that phone."
"I think he was after the phone."
"He needs to be uncovered no matter what."
"It's so crazy they haven't caught him yet."
"They just didn't catch him."
"They didn't even try to catch him."

This is just my theory, but now that we know that Hara knows something about this Burning Sun scandal, it could be possible that the thief was hired by one of the guys involved directly in it. He could either be a thief who was just hired, or he could be actually one of the guys involved. We don't know, but it's possible. Hara might have kept strong evidences against the Burning Sun guys in that phone that she would have wanted to use at the right time. Nonetheless, even after her death, it's undeniable that Hara has been a great help.
