The rookie group WHIB, hailed as a promising 5th generation K-pop act, is making a comeback after six months.
On the 14th, WHIB will release their second single 'ETERNAL YOUTH: KICK IT' at 2 PM and has expressed their determination to conquer the music industry. Prior to the album release, they will host a comeback showcase at the Ilji Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, where they plan to unveil their upgraded music and charm. The new album includes three tracks: the title track 'KICK IT', 'IN THE MOOD', and the English version of 'KICK IT'.
This new album continues WHIB's narrative from their debut single 'Cut-Out' last year, embodying the series theme, "Youth is an endless journey." The concept is centered around 'ETERNAL YOUTH', depicting the fateful journey of eight youths united by their dream of K-pop.
The title track 'KICK IT' is produced by EL CAPITXN and the Vendors team, who have previously worked on songs for BTS and IU, drawing attention with its lively expression of joy, penned by members Jader and Yugeon.
'IN THE MOOD', another track on the album, is a medium-tempo R&B piece highlighting soft vocals and rap, capturing the fluttering emotions of a serendipitous reunion with a first love through WHIB's fresh sentiment.
Besides their musical activities, WHIB is increasing their engagement with the public through self-produced variety content. Recently, they launched the first series of 'WHIBreak Time' on their official YouTube channel. 'WHIBreak Time' is themed around 'fun stories of WHIB in spaces other than the stage', and is set to showcase the members' individual personalities while parodying traditional variety shows, highlighting their off-stage charm and the pleasant chemistry among the members.
