Sungchan was visibly moved during RIIZE's recent fan-con.

On May 5, Seoul was alight with the second day of RIIZE's fan-con tour, 'RIIZING DAY.' As the concert drew to a close, each member took a moment to share their heartfelt thoughts on experiencing their first-ever independent concert alongside their dedicated fans.

During his turn, Sungchan opened up about his emotions leading up to his debut with RIIZE, his eyes welling with tears as he expressed his joy at being a part of a permanent team alongside Shotaro.

Before joining RIIZE, Sungchan and Shotaro had been introduced as new members of NCT, spending approximately three years promoting between October 2020 and May 2023. Their involvement was limited to just a few songs each as part of NCT U.

In the above fan-taken video, Sungchan's words resonated: "I've always dreamt of performing at our own concert. To have this special moment just for us fills me with immense happiness. All I've ever wanted is to be part of my own team."

As Sungchan fought back tears, he continued, "Having our own group is something I've always wished for. Shotaro and I would talk about it during meals. Being able to promote with my own team brings me so much happiness and gratitude. I'm incredibly thankful to everyone for filling every seat in this concert hall. [...] When Sohee talked about his family, that also moved me to tears."

In the emotional video, fans could be heard shedding tears alongside Sungchan, offering words of encouragement and support.
