NewJeans has recently announced the decision to donate all proceeds from their scheduled university festival appearances.
On May 25th, the sensational K-pop girl group's label ADOR announced that the group would be donating all proceeds from their university festival performances. Starting with Korea University's festival on May 25th, NewJeans will be engaging with students and their fans on a more personal level through May 31st at 7 different universities.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time NewJeans has given back to the community. Since their debut, they have been donating to support hearing-impaired individuals with limited financial resources. The group became one of the top donors after donating over 99 million KRW (about 72K USD) in 2023.

It does feel a bit like a PR move, but honestly, even if it is, it is really respectable. I respect this and I hope they continue to do acts like this in the future.
