As announced by their agency ADOR on May 14, NewJeans has participated as volunteers in recording the voice introductions for key exhibits in the Korean Gallery at the British Museum, one of the top three museums globally.
The pieces narrated in Korean by NewJeans include a celadon vase with floral designs, inlaid celadon from the 1300s, a white porcelain moon jar from the Joseon Dynasty, a painting of the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhism, and a 1700s Korean traditional technology-replicated architecture, the Sarangbang. NewJeans expressed pride and joy in their involvement, stating, "We are proud and happy to participate in this meaningful endeavor that showcases the elegance and beauty of Korea. We hope many people will listen."
The 'Korea' themed tour narrated by NewJeans is available from today (May 14) via the British Museum audio app. This also includes NewJeans' Korean descriptions of certain Roman Britain artifacts, including a bronze bust of Emperor Hadrian.
Meanwhile, NewJeans is set to make a comeback on May 24 with their new double single 'How Sweet,' featuring the title track 'How Sweet,' the song 'Bubble Gum,' and instrumental versions, totaling four tracks. The 'Bubble Gum' music video, pre-released on April 27, topped the YouTube Korea Weekly Popular Music Video chart for two consecutive weeks and maintained a high position on the global weekly chart, signaling a strong performance.
Further, on June 21, NewJeans will release their debut single 'Supernatural' in Japan and hold a fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome. They have heightened global anticipation with ongoing collaborations with cultural icons such as Takashi Murakami and Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Why HYBE/BTS stans hate these young girls so much? Like you can allow women win? Everything has to be about your oppa? NewJeans, IVE, Le Sserafim for the win! It awful to see women brining other women down! And it's all because of some parasocial relationship that these people have with their idols.
