Jung Joon-young, who served a prison sentence for gang rape charges, has been confirmed to be taking steps towards resuming his music career.
According to an exclusive report by Xports News on the 22nd, Jung Joon-young has recently met with music industry professionals, expressing his desire to continue his music career as a producer and hinting at a possible return to the
entertainment industry.
Sources reveal that Jung, aware of the public's negative perception post-release, is planning a fresh start as a music producer rather than as a singer. Unable to let go of his passion for music, Jung has reached out to industry contacts proposing collaboration on music projects. Interest in Jung's post-release activities has surged recently, especially following the BBC's documentary on the 2019 Burning Sun scandal. Amidst various rumors, including plans to move abroad, Jung's discreet moves to re-enter the music scene are drawing significant attention.
In January and March of 2016, Jung Joon-young, along with former Burning Sun MD Kim, office worker Kwon, and former entertainment agency employee Heo, gang-raped women and illegally filmed the acts. Jung was sentenced to five years in prison for disseminating the footage in a chatroom that included other celebrities, including Seungri, and was released in March this year.
Jung, who was at the center of a shocking sexual crime, had been effectively ousted from the entertainment industry.
Hell no. He needs to register as a sex offender and stay away from young women.
