(G)I-DLE's Soyeon is under fire among a group of fans for her lack of engagement on the paid subscription service, Bubble.
Recently, (G)I-DLE fans have taken to social media to voice their dissatisfaction with the idol's sparse communication on the monthly subscription platform. Fans were particularly disappointed on the group's recent 6th debut anniversary when no member voluntarily left a message on Bubble.
Amid this uproar, an online post from a reputed fan of Soyeon has captured attention.
In the post, the fan directed criticism towards Soyeon, stating, "Before being a producer, you're an idol. Please communicate."
They also checked the frequency of services received from Bubble, which Soyeon had initiated in April last year. This year, Soyeon had come to use the platform only once.
The fan expressed frustration, remarking, "It doesn't look like you do much, based on your unofficial account. Instead of constantly saying you're bored, taking random photos, or putting up 'Ask Me Anything,' it would have been nice if you visited Bubble once. While other members and fans of different groups claim they have to mute notifications due to excessive noise, all I see are app update notices whenever I enter Bubble."
Furthermore, the fan emphasized that they had raised this issue with Soyeon multiple times. They wrote, "This could potentially be our final anniversary, yet nothing has changed, prompting me to voice my concerns."
As the post gains traction, various opinions have emerged among netizens.
Some netizens sympathized with the fan's sentiments, expressing sentiments like "Even one a month is disappointing, but once a year so far...? That's too much," "It's disheartening to see fans begging for basic communication," "Receiving such treatment after investing money is unacceptable," and "When fans raise concerns, it's a genuine issue."
Conversely, some suggested that fans facing these challenges should simply consider leaving the fandom. Comments like "Why endure insults after spending money," "Unsubscribe and support other idols," "I'm not sure why Soyeon even started Bubble but maybe she just wants to be a producer," and "Instead of trying to change someone, go out there and look for your own happiness," are present.
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE made a comeback earlier this year with the title track "Super Lady" from their 2nd full-length album. Despite facing health issues, they resumed activities with the successful resurgence of the B-side track "Fate," continuing their streak of success.

Sounds like she was never compatible with a Bubble account. But even is she was pressured into making it by her agency protesting by not uploading isn't kind to her fans who spent money on a subscription.
