It's rumored that YG Entertainment has trademarked BABYMONSTER's official fan club name, MONstiez. 

The name combines the words "MONSTER" and "bestiez" and is pronounced "Mons-teez" (like ATEEZ) according to the Korean pronunciation. 

The rumored fan club name is, however, garnering lukewarm response from fans, including many Korean netizens who frequent the online community 'Instiz'. 

Some commented,

"Whoever chose this has terrible naming sense."

"Why did no one stop them from choosing this..."

"It reminds me of the Monsterz (from the JTBC variety program 'Baseball Monsters')."

"Is it April Fool's again?"
