Han So Hee's agency 9ato Entertainment released a statement clarifying that the actress was accepted to a university in France.
On May 1, 9ato Entertainment stated, "All the remarks that Han So Hee made about being accepted into a university in France are true." They added, "However it's difficult to disclose specific details due to it being private matters."
Earlier, Han So Hee appeared on Nah Yung Suk's YouTube channel with Park Seo Jun to promote their new drama, 'Gyeongseong Creature.' During the interview, Han So Hee discussed her past and how she entered the entertainment industry.
She explained that she debuted at the age of 25 and that before she debuted, she planned to go to school in France. She explained, "I got into (art) school too, but I couldn't go. I got into a school in France. But I had to have 60 million KRW (~44,645 USD) in my bank account to get a visa. But I didn't have 60 million KRW at the time."
However, controversy ensued when netizens discovered inconsistencies in her accounts regarding the process of her enrollment at the French school.
