At the production presentation of KBS 2TV's 'The Seasons - Zico's Artist' held in Seoul on the morning of April 23 KST, Zico opened up about the pressure he feels taking on the role of Lee Hyori’s successor as MC.
Expressing his excitement, Zico shared, "The stage I dreamed of the most after my debut was a KBS Music Talk Show. Now, I want to act as a messenger to musicians in various fields." He also revealed his hopes for the first episode, expressing anticipation for the guests he wishes to invite.
‘Zico’s Artist’ serves as the successor to ‘Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet’, and Zico acknowledged the significant presence of Lee Hyori. He admitted, "I have so much respect for Lee Hyori just for existing. Coincidentally, I was appointed as Lee Hyori's successor as MC at this time. It is natural to feel pressure." However, he also shared his determination to find his own unique style, stating, "Through that, I have a goal that can help me grow. I will work hard to find something that is unique to me."
The fifth season of 'The Seasons - Zico's Artist' marks a new chapter in the late-night music talk show, with producer Zico taking on the role of host. Renowned for its season system, 'The Seasons' has featured diverse MCs each season, including Jay Park, Jannabi's Choi Junghoon, AKMU, and Lee Hyori.
The premiere episode of 'Zico's Artist' is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. on Friday April 26 KST.
