LE SSERAFIM recently sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone to talk about their first Coachella experience and their success as a group so far.
Member Huh Yunjin began the interview by expressing how honored she was to have gotten the chance to perform at Coachella. “I grew up in the United States…and even living in the East Coast, I still would always dream about Coachella, just watching the performances only on the screen. So never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined being a performer here. It was absolutely surreal, and being here is such a dream come true.”
The group also spoke about their excitement getting to work with a live band, creating the setlist themselves, and performing their unreleased song "1-800 Hot N Fun" for the first time at Coachella.
When asked how to be ‘fearless’, which is central to LE SSERAFIM’s concept as a group, each individual member shared their thoughts.
Kazuha: “Being fearless for me is accepting yourself for who you are. There are moments when I feel like I’m not good enough and try even harder to be a better version of myself. I think accepting yourself and taking action with a positive mindset is what being fearless is.”
Eunchae: “Confidence! It’s not always easy, but I think exuding confidence even when you feel lacking gives you courage to be fearless."
Yunjin: “To be fearless is to know your fears and work around them.”
Sakura: “I would say challenge…I think there’s always something to take away from a challenge regardless of whether you succeed or fail. In that sense, Coachella is also a challenge.”
Chaewon: “I believe accepting your flaws and weaknesses and loving every aspect of yourself is being fearless.”
