[UPDATED BELOW]
On April 6 KST, BoA shared an Instagram story update that caused some confusion among fans.
The singer wrote,
"Once the contract ends, I can leave, right??"
At first, the post caused quite an uproar, as many thought that the post read "은퇴 (eun-twae)" or "retire". However, upon closer observation, they realized that BoA had actually written, "운퇴 (woon-twae)", a word that does not exist in the dictionary.
Some speculated that the word was a shortened form of "leaving the gym", or more literally, "leaving [a] workout." Others still wondered if BoA had made a spelling error, when she actually meant "retire".
Meanwhile, just a few hours earlier on the same day, BoA was seen thanking her hoobae SHINee's Onew for a handmade key chain gift.
[UPDATE]
BoA has now clarified her earlier post with another update, writing, "It looks like I misspelled a word. I meant retire."
It's not Onew who gave her the keychain but it's Onnu her nail artist. You should be more careful when you write articles. This is a proof that allkpop's translations are sometimes incorrect.
