There was some pretty shady stuff with the Chinese company that bought Stan Lee's company. His health had been in decline and there were lawsuits about stealing his money (personal caretakers) and the people running his company (Pow! Entertainment) brokering some kind of 'sham sale' (which was his words) to a Chinese company to acquire the rights to any of the ideas he developed under it. There's also question as to just what even really 'was' his ideas and if its just using his name to leverage ideas by others.
