On April 9 KST it was reported that actor Ji Chang Wook has received an offer to star in the upcoming drama 'Twelve', led by Ma Dong Suk, and is currently in discussions for the role. If confirmed, this would mark Ji Chang Wook's first foray into the superhero genre since his debut.
'Twelve' revolves around a group of heroes with diverse abilities and unique charms, striving to protect the Korean Peninsula from malevolent spirits. It was previously reported that Ma Dong Suk would portray Taesan, the leader of these heroes, and now Ji Chang Wook has been offered a role as one of the heroic characters defending Korea alongside Taesan.
With Ji Chang Wook potentially joining the cast, anticipation for 'Twelve' is soaring, especially considering Ma Dong Suk's involvement, who has garnered acclaim both in Hollywood and Korea.
Ji Chang Wook, known for his recent work in JTBC's 'Welcome to Samdal-ri' and the upcoming Disney+ original series 'Gangnam B-Side', is also set to appear in a range of diverse projects, showcasing his versatility and dedication as an actor.
Directed by Ko Sung Mok, a seasoned filmmaker known for his works is expected to be a captivating addition to the global OTT programming landscape.
The chameleon is back in yet another different role! I still can't get over the difference between him in The Worst of Evil and Welcome to Samdal-ri, you wouldn't have known it was the same man, he even managed to look different. He's a brilliant actor.
.
I've got to the point where I will watch almost anything he's in, at least at the start (don't like those idiotic rom-coms much, I still can't bring myself to watch Backstreet Rookie, because of the promo material, but that's the only one), because he's always so good.
