According to the recent Circle chart (formerly Gaon) update, virtual group PLAVE have now sold over one million copies across their entire discography, with the two mini-albums and one single album, setting a new career milestone.
The group's latest album, 'ASTERUM: 134-1,' has surpassed over 610,000 units sold, while their debut single album 'ASTERUM' and first mini-album 'ASTERUM: The Shape of Things to Come' currently have more than 145,000 and 280,000 sales, respectively, totaling over 1 million copies sold.
With this, PLAVE has officially become a 'Million Seller,' joining the list of rookie boy groups that achieved the milestone, including ZEROBASEONE and RIIZE.
Congratulations to PLAVE!
I really hope that the artists behind the virtual identities are getting a fair share of the profits! It's tough to guess what the contracts would look like, since of course all the technology developers need to be paid fairly for their hard work also.
