Thai BL drama 'Deep Night' receives backlash after being suspected of plagiarizing OnlyOneOf's "Libido" choreography

Recently, the boy group OnlyOneOf's track "Libido" has garnered attention again after 3 years.

This is because a Thai BL (Boy Love) drama allegedly plagiarized the choreography and used it in one of the sequences in the first episode. When fans inquired about the choreography, a production team staff denied the accusations.

The new Thai BL drama titled 'Deep Night' tells the story of a host club owner's son who becomes fascinated with a top-tier host, in the industry filled with acrobatic shows and performances.

The first episode aired on March 7 and soon gained the attention of many netizens after K-pop fans discovered a familiar performance. During the first episode, two male hosts performed a dance choreography that was strikingly similar to that of OnlyOneOf's track "Libido."

Not only was the choreography vastly similar, but there was a sequence where one male performer used a strap to tie around the second performer's neck, which was a signature performance of "Libido."

Some fans inquired about the similarity between the two choreographies on social media but a production staff member denied they plagiarized the choreography and claimed it was just a "Pure Coincidence" despite the noticeable similarity. 

Fans quickly notified OnlyOneOf's leader Nine of this Thai BL drama through the fan communication app Bubble. Nine confirmed that the group had no idea of this, and the drama production team did not ask for any permission to use the choreography in the series.

Nine responded to fans stating, "Huh..? it's so similar to Libido choreography...what the...?" "Even the clothes are similar," "Then they should've used us," "We can do it well," and "They should've at least put our name OnlyOneof on it."

With more and more fans inquiring about the first episode's choreography, the production staff who responded that is was a coincidence soon deleted his response.
