The movie 'Exhuma' has become the first film this year to reach 10 million viewers in South korea. 

According to the distributor Showbox, the cumulative number of viewers for 'Exhuma' surpassed 10 million on the morning of the 24th.

This milestone was achieved on the 32nd day after its release. Since its opening on the 22nd of the previous month, 'Exhuma' has maintained the top spot at the box office, racing towards the ten million mark without ever losing its number one position.

To celebrate surpassing ten million viewers, the 'Exhuma' team released several unpublished cuts, sharing their joy.

Actor Choi Min shik, in a conversation with the audience before reaching ten million, expressed his happiness, saying, “I'm not sure how to express my gratitude, but this situation feels like a festival.”

Director Jang Jae-hyun also expressed his gratitude during the GV on the same day, stating, “This film has been a meaningful opportunity for me to learn and grow more. I'm spending very happy days, receiving more love than expected. I'm truly grateful.”

'Exhuma' has become the 32nd film to reach 10 million viewers among all releases. Specifically, it is the 23rd Korean film to achieve this milestone.

For Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun, this is their first 10 million viewer film. 

For Lee Do Hyun, it is a fortunate debut as a screen actor reaching 10 million viewers.

'Exhuma's release in February, typically considered an off-season, is also an uncommon case. Apart from 'Exhuma', the only other film released in February to reach ten million viewers is 'Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War' (2004).

'Exhuma' is an occult mystery intertwining traditional geomancy and shamanistic beliefs, depicting bizarre incidents that unfold as geomancer Sang-deok (played by Choi Min Shik), undertaker Yeong-geun (Yoo Hae Jin), shaman Hwa-rim (Kim Go Eun), and Bong-gil (Lee Do Hyun) dig up the grave of a wealthy family's ancestor for a large sum of money.
