On February 3, KST, WAKEONE released a statement regarding the spread of false information. The agency stated it will take stern legal action against anyone spreading false information through social media and online communities.

The agency began by saying, "Recently, false claims about our affiliated artists have been indiscriminately circulated through online communities and social media." WAKEONE continued, "As previously announced multiple times, we are strictly responding to crimes that infringe upon the artists' rights, invade their privacy, and threaten their safety with a zero-tolerance policy."

This latest statement was released following the latest controversy surrounding their artist ZEROBASEONE. 

Recently, ZEROBASEONE member Kim Ji Woong was under fire after he allegedly said "Ssibal (FU*K)" to a fan after a video call fan meeting.

Below is the agency's full statement:

"Hello. This is WAKEONE.

Recently, false claims about our affiliated artists have been indiscriminately circulated through online communities and social media.

As previously announced multiple times, we are strictly responding to crimes that infringe upon the artists' rights, invade their privacy, and threaten their safety with a zero-tolerance policy.

We have filed a criminal complaint with the investigative agency against individuals who trespassed on the artist's residence, with charges including home invasion, through the law firm Sejong, and the investigation is ongoing.

Furthermore, we have filed complaints with the local police station against those who illegally obtained the artist's personal information and attempted to make phone contact. Some of them have already undergone interrogations as suspects.

Regarding incidents involving attempts to threaten the artist, we have obtained a search and seizure warrant from the court and are currently conducting an investigation.

Concerning the creation and dissemination of false information and posts related to the artist, although it may take some time, we will use digital forensics on images, videos, audio, etc., to reveal the truth and deploy all available resources to protect the artist.

Additionally, to prevent such incidents from recurring, we will take strong legal action without any settlement or leniency against disseminators of false information, malicious commenters, and the like.

We promise to dedicate all efforts to ensure that our artists and the fans who love them do not suffer any harm.
