Virtual idol PLAVE shared their thoughts on their comeback.
On the afternoon of the 26th, PLAVE's second mini-album 'ASTERUM: 134-1' release commemorative showcase was held at the MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam-dong, Seoul.
This showcase, being the first ever for a virtual idol, was conducted in a unique manner where a video call was connected from the star (Asterum) where the members reside.
Noah introduced, "We are in Asterum. We set up the stage to show our fans."
Regarding Asterum, Yejun explained, "Originally, we lived in Caelum (a virtual world), but were drawn to Asterum by a mysterious force. It's delightful that we can see people on Terra (Earth) from Asterum (the planet where PLAVE resides). Our only goal is to play good music for those on Terra (Earth)."
PLAVE went on location to shoot their music video, not relying on CG. Yejun shared, "I think we spent about five days shooting the music video this time. We almost stayed together at one location. We shot all day long at one place."
About the album's tracks, Yejun said, "It includes a total of 6 songs. We composed and wrote the lyrics ourselves and even choreographed the dances. We worked hard to make a good stage and album, so I hope you listen to it a lot."
The title track 'WAY 4 LUV' captures PLAVE's lyrical atmosphere and the sophisticated melody of pop sensibility, depicting PLAVE's journey in search of love. The repetitive guitar riff creates a strong addiction, and the intense drum and bass sound complete a more rhythmic music.
PLAVE took charge of the entire production process, including writing, composing, and choreographing all the songs in this album.
'ASTERUM: 134-1' is the final album of the Asterum trilogy, following the debut single 'ASTERUM' and the first mini-album 'Asterum: The Shape of Things to Come'. It contains a total of 6 songs, including five new tracks such as 'Virtual Idol', 'From', 'Our Movie', and the digital single ‘Merry PLLIstmas’ released last December.
