According to Sports Chosun, the SBS end-of-year music festival program 'Gayo Daejeon' is set to be held in both the first and second halves of 2024.
The production team of 'Gayo Daejeon' has recently decided to hold the event twice within the year and is currently focusing on selecting the venue and inviting the lineup. The venue is likely to be the Inspire Arena in Incheon Yeongjongdo, similar to last year.
The festival is expected to be held in mid-July and mid-December, with specific dates rumored to be July 21st for the first half and December 25th for the second half. This marks a change from the tradition of holding 'Gayo Daejeon' annually on Christmas since 2017, making it the first terrestrial broadcast music festival program to be held twice in a year. This decision comes 28 years after 'Gayo Daejeon' first aired in 1996.
Particularly after last year's controversies, including major ticket fraud, audience disturbances at the red carpet event, an artist's stage fall, and audio playback errors, all eyes are on whether 'Gayo Daejeon' can successfully conclude both events this year.
Focus on fixing your pre-existing one. Like who thought having a second Gayo Daejeon was a good idea when they can't even properly manage one?!
