'Marry My Husband' features a compelling narrative and engaging characters, delivering a refreshing storyline that keeps viewers hooked.
The Monday-Tuesday drama 'Marry My Husband' on tvN, directed by Park Won Guk and Han Jin Seon, and written by Shin Yoo Dam, keeps increasing in viewer ratings with every episode.
The storyline follows a woman who, after witnessing her best friend's affair with her husband and facing a tragic demise, inexplicably wakes up ten years in the past, presented with a second chance at life. Determined to reshape her destiny, she embarks on a journey to realign the stars in her favor, seeking revenge against her unfaithful husband and former best friend.
In the drama, actress Park Min Young took on the role of Kang Ji Won, the protagonist of the story who changes her destiny while delivering revenge on her unfaithful husband, Park Min Hwan (played by Lee Yi Kyung), and her best friend Jung Soo Min (played by Song Ha Yoon).
In the course of the drama, Kang Ji Won strategically employs the insights gained from her initial life to orchestrate a revenge plan, aimed at altering the course of destiny, with the help of Yoo Ji Hyuk (played by Na In Woo), the one who truly loves her. Her goal is to compel her best friend to marry her former husband, leveraging the unique knowledge she possesses to craft a compelling narrative of retribution and fate-altering maneuvers.
While Park Min Young and Na In Woo skillfully portray the lead characters, audience feedback suggests that the drama reaches its pinnacle of intrigue during scenes featuring Lee Yi Kyung and Song Ha Yoon. Some viewers express a preference for tuning in, specifically when Lee Yi Kyung and Song Ha Yoon grace the screen, occasionally checking their phone or going to the restroom during segments featuring Park Min Young and Na In Woo.
Korean netizens commented, "The drama is fun when Song Ha Yoon and Lee Yi Kyung appear. It's time for the bathroom or cell phone when the Loveline between the main characters plays," "I think it's because Lee Yi Kyung acts so well," "I think it's also because this drama's main point is revenge so it's more fun when watching the villains," "I think all scenes are fun," "I think when the male lead appears, he kind of brings down the tension and speed of the drama. He seems bland," "I think the male lead was portrayed better in the webtoon," and "lol, I look at my phone too when the two lead characters appear."
I feel like this is just unnecessary hate at this point towards PM. Like yes the villains are played well and can’t wait to see what happens with them and the whole revenge plot. But the rest is also enjoyable. In my opinion the webtoon was so good that it’s kind of hard to be better but the series did so well to capture some of the key moments/elements and make some even better in my opinion. I didn’t like that they changed one major thing from the male leads plot but hey I’ll take what I can get.
