Super Junior's Kyuhyun talked openly about his living situation and confessed why he lived at the SM dorm for 18 years.
Kyuhyun appeared on the January 5 episode of YouTube talk show 'Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night' and talked about various topics, such as moving from SM to Antenna.
On this day, Jo Hyun Ah brought up the topic of transferring companies and asked, "You moved to Antenna, right? I heard you and Eunhyuk were the only members left in the dorm." Kyuhyun explained, "I lived there for almost 19 years. Actually, a little over 17 years. I lived there for 18 years, and I felt sad about one thing when I left (the dorm)." He continued, "I'm sad that someone might break my record." He elaborated, "I lived in the dorm for the longest time among all the idols around the world."
He added, "It's not going to be easy. I don't think there will be any idol members who will keep living in the dorms. I think this should be put in the Guinness World Records."
Kyuhyun went on to explain why he lived so long in the dorms and shared, "In the beginning, there was no room. I just spread out blankets beside other members' beds and had my stuff in carriers (luggage)." He continued, "I had to sleep in this room and move to another room...There were so many members, and I joined the group late. So there was no space. When I went there, the rooms were full, so I slept in the living room and moved from room to room."
Kyuhyun confessed, that it might be the reason he stayed in the dorms for so long. He shared, "I think I have this pain of finding my space. That's why I think I had more affection for the dorms."
The fact SM even let him stay that long is crazy since it sounds like he was able to keep SUJU's dorm that was made for 13 members all for himself. At the same time these dorms are typically pretty simple and Kyuhyun must obviously have a ton of money at this point to buy a fancy penthouse somewhere.
