A male singer/actor Kim (44-years old) has been booked by police for causing a vehicle accident while driving under the influence, as well as for refusing a breathalyzer test three times.

On December 29, 2023, at around 3:30 AM KST, Kim caused a vehicle accident on Nambu beltway in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, hitting a vehicle in front of him while switching lanes. When the police arrived on the scene, they requested that Kim take a breathalyzer, test, but he refused. Kim is expected to attend questioning some time next week. 

According to media outlet reports, Kim was previously prosecuted for driving under the influence in 2011, having his driver's license revoked at the time. 

When asked to give a statement, Kim said, "I have no excuses. I'm sorry."

Based on the details provided above, some are speculating that that Kim is singer/actor Kim Jung Hoon, who was indeed prosecuted for driving under the influence in July of 2011. 

However, some fans pointed out that Kim Jung Hoon was active on his Instagram as recently as December 31, delivering new year greetings to his fans. Some claimed, "If the accident happened on December 29, why would he be on Instagram on December 31 like nothing happened," suggesting that others may be jumping to conclusions about the identity of Kim.
