Earlier today, EDAM Entertainment announced that IU would be changing the title of the pre-release single "Love Wins" after individuals on social media raised concerns.
They contended that the phrase "Love Wins," traditionally a slogan in pride parades supporting sexual minorities, might lose its specific significance if used in a broader, heterosexual context. In response to these concerns, EDAM Entertainment declared that IU's pre-release single, originally titled "Love Wins," would be renamed to "Love Wins All."
Following the title change, Korean netizens voiced their disagreement, stating that IU didn't have to change her song title.
They commented, "They say they are discriminated against and they are now preventing everyone from using a common phrase... you're the only ones who knew that phrase was a slogan, why prevent us from using it?" "They're making an issue over such a none issue. 'Love Wins' just means 'love wins' and they're preventing everyone who is not LGBTQIA from using it," "IU is the type of person that would change it just for the one person who is genuinely hurt among all the fakes who are making a fuss about this," "That's ridiculous," "IU is the bigger person," "Wow, IU is so nice," and "IU is awesome. I will always support her. Love wins all."
In this case, they shouldn't have caved in. This is stupid because no one owns any words.
