Actress Han Ye Seul confessed that she had been hurt by the groundless rumors around her.

Han Ye Seul appeared as a special guest on the YouTube talk show 'Lee Sora's SuperMarket' which was uploaded on January 25 KST and gave an update on what she'd been up to.

The actress shared, "For the past two years, I was in the United States. I wanted to return through a drama after taking the time to recharge but the drama production extended and came to nothing."

Han Ye Seul explained, "Life really doesn't go as planned," and opened up about her experiences. She shared, "I came to Korea at a young age and appeared on 'Non-stop' (sitcom). I thought everything would be good after I got famous quickly but that's when the rumors started" and mentioned 'Black X-File.'

The 'Black X-File' is a document written in 2005 by an advertising planning agency to prevent risks in star marketing. It contained information on over 100 celebrities, including false claims about Han Ye Seul, such as her being from an adult entertainment establishment and having a disorderly private life.

Regarding the 'Black X-File,' Han Ye Seul explained, "My name was mentioned on it when I didn't even know what it was. There were all sorts of rumors on it. I felt like everyone began to have that image of me. So I was really hurt."

In response, Lee So Ra empathized and said, "It must have felt so unfair for you when you came from the United States at a young age and became a celebrity but only to have so many rumors circulating about you suddenly. And there's no one you can confide in and talk about it with. Rumors tend to spread further the more you talk about it."
