Former April member Lee Naeun to continue acting career

Lee Naeun, a former member of the group April and now an actress, is set to continue her active career with a new role. On January 31, a representative from Namoo Actors confirmed to My Daily that Lee Naeun will be appearing in 'Eye Shopping.'

Based on a webtoon of the same name, 'Eye Shopping' is an action-thriller that depicts the survival and revenge of children abandoned by their adoptive parents. The show will also feature actors Yeom Jung-ah, Won Jin-ah, and Dex.

Lee Naeun was embroiled in controversy in February 2020 when former April member Lee Hyunjoo alleged that she had been bullied by the group members during her time in the group. This led to Lee Naeun halting her activities, and subsequently, April disbanded in January 2022.

After a period of inactivity, Lee Naeun moved to Namoo Actors in June 2022 to prepare for her return to the industry. She is set to make a comeback as the lead in an episode of the recently started SBS series 'Chaebol X Detective.'

Lee Naeun has previously shown her potential as an actress in web dramas like 'A-TEEN' and the MBC drama 'Extraordinary You.'
