The rookie virtual boy group PLAVE has recently captured the hearts and ears of listeners with their latest holiday track, "Merry PLLIstmas," and ranked 7th place on Melon's TOP 100.
The sweet holiday track was released on December 12 and quickly rose to the music chart as soon as it was released.
After making their debut this year, the virtual group has been garnering quite the attention. The group is composed of five members: Noah, Bamby, Yejun, Eunho, and Hamin, and stirred a buzz when it was revealed the group consists of all virtual members.
Even though they are a virtual group, the members prove that they have exceptional vocal talent.
This past August, their debut mini album 'ASTERUM: The Shape of Things to Come' also topped album charts with over 200,000 album copies sold in the first week of sales.
Not only that, but all the tracks from their debut album are currently still on the TOP 100 ranking on Melon.
K-netizens who came across the group through this latest online community post commented, "The song is really good," "This song is like the old K-pop group Christmas carol songs. This is what I wanted!" "This is pretty impressive. First of all, the song is really good," "It's the first time I've heard the song but it's good!" "Congrats to them. The song is really good," "Woah, the song is actually good," and "Everyone should listen to this song. It's really good."
For people who don't know, yes the group is virtual but the members are not AI generated. They are real singers. It must be incredibly liberating for those people to be able to fully focus on their music without having to worry about their visuals, dieting, getting older ect.
