Momoland's JooE opened up about her recent struggles of promoting without an agency.
On the latest episode of 'Sister at Play' that aired on December 12, Chae Rina, Lee Ji Hye, Narsha, and Ivy met with Jewelry's Lee Ji Hyun, Wonder Girl's Yubin, and Momoland's JooE.
The three guests all gave an update on their life and their current activities while sharing a meal together.
During the talk, JooE revealed that she is still promoting without an agency and even drove to this film location by herself and has been managing all her schedules.
JooE shared, "The plus side (of promoting alone) is that I don't need to divide the payment with the other members." She also clarified, "Many people misunderstand that we disbanded but we all gathered and had an overseas fan meeting together recently."
When the MCs asked if JooE earned a lot of money through promoting with Momoland, JooE candidly replied, "I was paid for the first time in two years, and I thought I would keep earning money, so I bought my parents a car. But then COVID-19 happened, and now we probably have to sell the car."
The real truth in the Kpop industry. Even if you have a big hit song, the benefits only last a short while and you end up all washed up.
