Han So Hee gave a personal account of the injury she sustained during the filming of 'Gyeongseong Creature.'
On December 19, the production presentation for the new Netflix original series 'Gyeongseong Creature' took place at the Layer20 Studio in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Jung Dong Yoon, Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Soohyun (Claudia Kim), Kim Hae Sook, and Cho Han Cheol attended the event to discuss the latest project.
'Gyeongseong Creature' takes place in the backdrop of 1945, during Korea's grim era of colonial rule, and two individuals confront a strange monster born from man's greed. They must fight this creature to survive.
Last year, Han So Hee suffered a facial injury around her eyes while filming 'Gyeongseong Creature' in August. Regarding this, Han So Hee explained, "The injury occurred due to my eagerness. In action sequences, the risk of injuries extends beyond just me; both the stunt team and actors involved in the action scenes inevitably face injuries." She added, "It's an environment where engaging in action without sustaining some degree of injury is nearly impossible. Everyone on set approaches the filming process with a genuine commitment."
She reflected on her injury and shared, "One oversight on my part was failing to discern what I could and couldn't handle. Looking back, if I had made that distinction, I might have been able to prevent the injury."
Concluding her remarks, she reassured, "It wasn't a case of sacrificing my well-being. While I feel remorseful that the incident affected the filming process, I'm currently in good health. I hope there won't be concerns, as my determination to excel led to this situation."
Meanwhile, 'Gyeongseong Creature' will premiere in two parts, with part 1 set to be released on December 22. Part 2 is scheduled for release on January 5, 2024.
She said a lot, but also said nothing.
